Epilepsy experts join together in Llandudno

14 September, 2007

An interactive seminar on epilepsy, aimed at anyone with an interest in the condition, will take place in Llandudno on Thursday 27 September 2007.

The event is being organised by the UK’s leading member-led epilepsy charity, Epilepsy Action. The seminar will be held from 7.00pm until 9.30pm at St George’s Hotel, The Promenade, Llandudno, Conwy, LL30 2LG.

The interactive evening will provide people with epilepsy, their families and carers with an opportunity to meet one another, share their experiences and learn more about the challenges that people living with epilepsy face. A number of Epilepsy Action representatives will be speaking on the night, including Sue Blake, national manager -regional services, and Ann Reynolds, regional services manager for Wales.

Ann commented: “Epilepsy Action is keen to reach and support as many people as possible in Wales who live with the uncertainty of having seizures. The event will not only enable people to meet up and share their experiences but it will also help to raise local awareness.”

Ann continues: “The seminar is an excellent opportunity to find out more about this common neurological condition which affects so many people in Wales, yet is so often misunderstood. It also will help people learn some new ways to help tackle the fears and anxieties that so often accompany a diagnosis of epilepsy.”
