Epilepsy family information evening in Burry Port

20 October, 2009

Epilepsy Action's Pembrey and Burry Port Branch is holding an information evening on Wednesday 4 November. The branch is hoping to set up a new family group in Burry Port to support families affected by epilepsy in the area.

The evening will run from 5.00pm to 6.30pm at the Leslie Griffiths Centre, Glanmor Road, Burry Port. Ann Sivapatham, regional services manager at Epilepsy Action, will chair the evening, which aims to bring together families affected by epilepsy in Pembrey and Burry Port. Advice and information about epilepsy will be available and families will have the opportunity to meet others affected by the condition.

Ann Sivapatham said: "Epilepsy Action is responding to a request to support families, children and young people affected by epilepsy. We are hoping to set up a family group in Pembrey and Burry Port to help bring families together to provide mutual support. All families affected by epilepsy in the area are welcome to come along to the information evening to find out more."

For those unable to attend the information evening, the family group will meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 5.00pm at the Leslie Griffiths Centre.
