Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is launching a new drop-in centre in Newport to support people with epilepsy.
A seminar will take place on Saturday 31 March at The Share Centre, 88 Stow Hill, Newport, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Epilepsy specialist nurses Keri John, from the Royal Gwent Hospital, will be giving a talk about understanding and managing epilepsy. Information about various aspects of epilepsy will be available to take away.
Ann Sivapatham, Epilepsy Action’s Wales Manager, said: “We want to expand our support network in Wales and the drop-in centre in Newport is part of that expansion. It will be an open door service for those with an interest in epilepsy for anyone who wants information and support. It’s also a great opportunity to meet your local epilepsy specialist nurses”
The event is free. For further information, please contact Ann Sivapatham, on 01633 253 407 (mobile: 07767 242 658), or email asivaptham@epilepsy.org.uk
