A Wivenhoe man, whose daughter has epilepsy, is preparing to lace up his running shoes to complete this year’s Edinburgh Marathon.
Keith Brooke, 44, will attempt the challenging 26.2 mile run on Sunday 22 May to raise vital funds for national charity Epilepsy Action. The charity provides advice and support to the 456,000 people with epilepsy in the UK.
Keith, a successful science fiction author, said: “My daughter Molly has epilepsy. It has really affected her schooling but despite this she did well in her GCSE’s and is continuing to study. Epilepsy Action has been a big help and great support. Now it's time for us to pay some of that back”.
Keith hopes to raise at least £250 to help support the 456,000 people living with epilepsy in the UK. The money raised by Keith will help fund the vital advice and information services provided by Epilepsy Action.
