Epilepsy Action joins The Lions Vintage Family Fun Day and Pedigree Dog Show

16 August, 2011

The Mid Essex Branch of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is joining the Lions Family Fun Day – a free event with plenty of activities for all the family.

The event takes place at Promenade Park, Maldon, on 27 August. Epilepsy Action will have an information stand at the event and local branch members will be on hand from 11am until 5pm to give a variety of epilepsy advice and information to anyone with an interest in the condition. Family activities include kids go-karting, a pedigree dog show, and donkey rides.

Marie Edgar, Epilepsy Action’s local services manager for the south east, said: “This is a great opportunity for people with epilepsy, their families, friends or carers to come and find out more about epilepsy in a friendly and informal environment. Epilepsy is the most serious and common neurological condition in the UK. If people know more, they can recognise a seizure and will know what to do if they ever need to. Information is the key to living successfully with epilepsy. Come and join us to find out more.”

Anyone who would like further information, or to get involved with the Mid Essex Branch should contact Lisbeth on 07717 061 521 or 07929 749 994. You can also contact local services manager, Marie Edgar, on 01708 479 536 (mobile: 07801 544 520)
