Epilepsy Action, the UK's largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is expanding and re-launching its North London Branch. The aim is to offer support to more people affected by epilepsy in the North London area.
The re-launch event will take place on Monday 19 March at Trinity Church Hall, 15 Nether Street (Tally Ho Corner end), North Finchley. It will run from 7.30pm until 9.30pm, and is open to everyone with an interest in epilepsy.
Guest speaker, Dr Heather Angus-Leppan, Consultant Neurologist at the Royal Free Hospital, will talk about recent developments in epilepsy treatment. Everyone with epilepsy, caring for someone with epilepsy, or with an interest in epilepsy is welcome.
Barbara Penney, the Chair of the North London Branch, said: “Epilepsy Action branches can offer invaluable help to people living with epilepsy. They can meet others and share experiences and support each other and enjoy social events. We have information for people to take away and this is available in many community languages.
The North London branch offers support and information to anyone from in and around north London. We are very excited that Dr Heather Angus-Leppan will be speaking at our March meeting and look forward to meeting as many people from the area to answer their questions and offer our on-going support”
Monthly meetings offer a variety of social events and informative talks and discussions
relating to epilepsy. They also offer the opportunity for people to share their experiences of living with epilepsy and help to raise awareness of the condition in the local community.
