Gosport man attempts marathon challenge for epilepsy

14 April, 2009

Gary Guinness from Gosport is taking part in the Flora London Marathon on Sunday 26 April in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.

Gary will be among thousands to attempt the challenging 26.2 mile run in a bid to help support the 456,000 people living with epilepsy in the UK.

Gary, whose friend has epilepsy, said: “I believe that there is a real need to raise awareness of epilepsy in the community, it’s a condition that is so often overlooked or misunderstood. By attempting the marathon I’ll be meeting a big personal goal while also raising funds to help support the many people affected by epilepsy.”
