Epilepsy Action is to hold an information packed conference on Saturday July 19 with a view to supporting people affected by epilepsy in the Guildford area. The event will run from 10.00am–4.00pm at the Holiday Inn, Egerton Road, Guildford.
The conference will feature five speakers including Dr John Duncan, consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology, Sally Ann Remnant, Sapphire epilepsy specialist nurse from Surrey PCT and Dr. Michael Marsh, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Kings College Hospital, London. The other speakers are Vicky Rimmer, a Roald Dahl Sapphire epilepsy specialist paediatric nurse and Ruth Bruell, a parent and accredited volunteer.
Susan Mistry, regional services manager for London and the south east said: “This event is a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in epilepsy to learn more about the condition and related issues, including treatment, women’s issues and the support available for carers and patients.”
