Linda Brooks from Kidlington, Oxford, will be taking part in the Flora London Marathon on 22 April 2007 to raise funds for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member led epilepsy organisation.
This is the first year that Linda has taken part in the Flora London Marathon challenge and she will be tackling the gruelling 26.2 miles for a charity that is close to her heart.
Linda says: “This is the first year I will be competing in the marathon but is a challenge that I have always wanted to take on. My sister has epilepsy so I understand what a difference a charity such as Epilepsy Action can make to peoples lives.”
The money raised by Linda will help fund vital advice and information services provided by the charity. Epilepsy Action has a network of branches across the UK and now directly helps more than 497,000 people every year.
