Mother takes on Paris Marathon for charity

26 March, 2009

Alison Quilter from Felixstowe will be power walking the Paris Marathon on Sunday 5 April in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.

Alison will be joining 37,000 participants in this 26.2 mile challenge through the streets of Paris. The route passes some fabulous Paris landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and Place de la Bastille.

Alison said: “Our family as been affected by epilepsy and I want to raise as much money as possible for Epilepsy Action to help support the thousands of other people affected by the condition.”

She continued: “I’m aiming to do a marathon for charity each year so I can help towards worthy causes while keeping fit! I am most looking forward to the challenge of completing the marathon in good time and receiving my medal at the end!”
