Reading seminar on epilepsy

11 October, 2007

A free public seminar on epilepsy is being held on Wednesday November 7 by Epilepsy Action, the UK’s leading member-led epilepsy charity. The evening will run from 7:30pm – 9:30pm in the Waterhouse Chamber at the Old Town Hall, Blagrave Street, Reading.

The seminar, entitled ‘Epilepsy and You’, will include a talk from Dr Yvonne Hart, consultant neurologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Dr Hart will be speaking about the developments in treatments for people with epilepsy as well as answering questions.

Susan Mistry, the regional services manager for London and South East England, said: “The seminar will be a wonderful opportunity to meet people with an interest in epilepsy, to exchange views and to learn from each other.”

Susan continued: “Dr Yvonne Hart has a special interest in epilepsy and will be able to provide a comprehensive view on the most up to date treatments for the condition and talk with authority about how it affects people.”

Anyone who would like to attend the seminar should phone the local Reading & District Branch on 07983 506703 to book their place.
