Epilepsy Action’s Dorchester and Weymouth Branch holds epilepsy awareness evening

15 March, 2011

The Dorchester and Weymouth Branch of Epilepsy Action, the UK's largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is holding a meeting to support people in the area affected by epilepsy, their families and carers.

The event will be held on Monday 21 March from 6.00pm to 8.00pm at the Dorford Centre, Dorchester Baptist Church, Bridport Road, Dorchester.

The Dorchester and Weymouth Branch has a relaxed atmosphere and epilepsy specialist nurses from Dorset Epilepsy Services at Poole Hospital are frequent attendees. They answer questions and discuss a variety of issues. The Dorchester Branch meets on the third Monday of the month between 6.00pm and 8.00pm.

Mark McDaid, Epilepsy Action's regional services manager for the south west, said: “This month’s meeting is set to be really informative for people with epilepsy, or their carers, from the Dorset and Weymouth area.”
