Epilepsy open meetings in Taunton

2 March, 2010

The Taunton Branch of national charity, Epilepsy Action, is to hold regular meetings to support people affected by epilepsy in the area.

The meetings will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on the second Thursday of each month the County Stores Restaurant, North Street, Taunton. They are open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy.

Mark McDaid, regional services manager for south west England at Epilepsy Action, said: "The Taunton Branch of Epilepsy Action is open to anyone with epilepsy, people living with the condition, carers, friends or relatives. The meetings are an ideal opportunity to talk to people who understand what it is like to live with epilepsy, and find out more information as well as a chance to help raise awareness of epilepsy in the local community. We are extremely lucky to have epilepsy specialist nurse, Teresa Smith, present at most of the meetings."
