National charity Epilepsy Action is holding a conference in Bristol on Saturday 26 September to support people with epilepsy.
The conference will take place at the Ramada Bristol City Hotel, Redcliffe Way, Bristol, from 9.30am to 4.15pm. The conference will provide an opportunity for people with epilepsy and their families to update themselves on the latest developments. It will also provide an opportunity to meet other people with the condition and to meet Epilepsy Action representatives. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and there is access to free literature about many aspects of epilepsy.
Guest speakers include Dr Bruce Sheepers, consultant psychiatrist specialising in neuropsychiatry at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Trust and epilepsy specialist nurse, Kim Morley. Dr Helen Angus-Leppan, consultant neurologist at the Royal Free Hospital, will also speak at the conference.
Mark McDaid, regional services manager at Epilepsy Action, said: "We are delighted that we have secured such fantastic speakers at the conference. The presentations will cover a wide variety of issues affecting people with epilepsy, meaning the event will be of interest to anyone affected by the condition. It would be fantastic if people in the Bristol area could come together to support this event."
Seats are limited, so to book a place contact Mark McDaid, Epilepsy Action's regional services manager for the south west on 01291 621 478 or email mmcdaid@epilepsy.org.uk Tickets cost £17, with a reduced rate for concessions and Epilepsy Action members.
