12 May, 2011

Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is celebrating National Epilepsy Week to support people with epilepsy.

Members of Epilepsy Action’s Coventry Branch will be holding a tin collection on Friday 20 May in Coventry’s city centre precinct from 9.30 to 4pm. The aim is to support the work of the branch and provide further information about the condition.Bridie, secretary of the branch, said: “Our branch supports people affected by epilepsy in the local area. We wanted to raise awareness of the condition, and National Epilepsy Week. We will be providing advice to anyone with an interest.”

The Coventry Branch meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7.30pm at Friends Meeting House, Hill Street, Coventry. For further information, please contact Bridie on 02476 337 789.

Epilepsy Action has an extensive network of branches throughout the UK. Branches hold regular meetings and offer a variety of social events and informative talks and discussions
relating to epilepsy. Meetings offer the opportunity for people to share their experiences
of living with epilepsy, and help to raise awareness of the condition in the local community.
