The Solihull Branch of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting an information day on Saturday 2 October 2010.
The event will take place at The Solihull Manor House, 126 High Street, Solihull, from 11.00am to 3.00pm, and is open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy.
There will be an opportunity to take away epilepsy information on a range of subjects, and talk to people who have had similar experiences.
Laura, secretary of the Solihull Branch, said: “When my brother was told he had epilepsy, the Epilepsy Action helpline provided my parents with the information they needed to understand what his diagnosis meant, and signposted him to all available sources of support. By organising this event, we hope to provide this support to other people living in Solihull and welcome new faces to our monthly support group.”
Anyone who would like to attend the meeting, or would like further information, should contact Julie Clark, Epilepsy Action’s regional services manager for central England, on 01684 833834 (mobile: 07770 837970), or at jclark@epilepsy.org.uk
