A mother from Bromsgrove will be taking part in a tandem parachute jump to raise vital funds for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.
Sharon Crofts will attempt the ‘once in a life time’ experience on Tuesday 14 April and has already raised over £300. She’ll be jumping from a height of up to 13,000 feet and will free-fall at 120mph, all to support people living with this serious and often over-looked condition.
Sharon said: “Our son was eventually diagnosed with epilepsy last year at the age of 15 months. It was a very difficult time for all the family and we’re really pleased the medication is now controlling his seizures. Epilepsy Action’s advice and information has been a great support and I want to raise as much money as possible for the charity and the many people needing its support.”
She continued: “I’m really excited about the jump. There’s eight of us taking part for various charities and we can’t wait. I am most looking forward to the adrenaline rush and the feeling of freedom!”
