Nuneaton Elvis fundraiser for epilepsy charity

9 May, 2011

A Nuneaton woman has arranged an ‘Elvis’ night, including a disco and raffle, to raise funds for the Nuneaton and district branch of national charity Epilepsy Action.  Donna Smith has organised the event to help support local people affected by epilepsy. Elvis tribute Micky Vegas will perform at the Stockingford Sports and Social Club on Friday 13 May from 7.30pm to 11.30pm. Tickets for the event cost £3 for adults and £1 for children.

Julie Clark, local services manager for central England at Epilepsy Action, said: “We’re very grateful to Donna for organising this event and providing such fantastic support to the Nuneaton and District Branch of Epilepsy Action. We hope the event will raise funds to continue giving support to those affected by epilepsy in the Nuneaton area. We also hope it will be lots of fun!”

The money raised will support the work of the Nuneaton and District Branch of Epilepsy Action. The branch provides local support to people with epilepsy, their family, friends and carers.  The branch holds regular monthly meetings on the third Monday of every month at Hatters Space Community Centre, Upper Abbey Street, Nuneaton, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The meetings offer a mixture of social events and informative talks and discussions.
