Craig Wright from Underhill is aiming to conquer the UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, to raise vital funds for national charity, Epilepsy Action.
Craig will be attempting the challenge over three days, 1-3 May, which will involve eight hours of walking, mostly up a very steep gradient. Ben Nevis, located near Fort William, Scotland, has some awe-inspiring views and attracts an estimated 100,000 trekkers a year.
Craig said; “This will be a real personal challenge for me. I want to raise as much money as possible for Epilepsy Action while also raising awareness of epilepsy, a condition which is often overlooked and misunderstood. I’m really looking forward to the challenge and meeting all the other participants.”
Epilepsy Action has a huge variety of fundraising events you can get involved in. These events can be a fun and exciting challenge with the added bonus of making a difference to people living with epilepsy. To find out more go to http://www.epilepsy.org.uk/involved/index.html
The money raised by Craig will help fund the vital advice and information services provided by the charity. Last year, Epilepsy Action directly helped more than 686,500 people through a range of services, including its advice and information centre, branch network, Epilepsy Helpline freephone 0808 800 5050 and award-winning website, www.epilepsy.org.uk
