Huddersfield Charity Gig For Epilepsy Action

3 October, 2008

A charity gig is to be held at Huddersfield’s Almondbury W.M.C on Friday October 10 at 8pm, in aid of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation.

Alicia Brady, who is organising the event, said: “I have recently lost a friend from epilepsy and I decided that the proceeds will go to Epilepsy Action, a charity that works to support the 456,000 people living with the condition in the UK.”

She continued: “I host a charity gig every year but this time the event will be bigger and better than ever before – a real achievement for me! There’ll be five different acts performing, with a raffle and refreshments available, plus much more. There will be something for everyone at this event and I hope to raise as much money as possible for Epilepsy Action.”

Tickets for the event cost £6 to get yours now, call Alicia on 07930 525355.

The money raised at the event will help fund the vital advice and information services provided by Epilepsy Action. Last year, the charity directly helped over 731,000 people through a range of services including its advice and information centre, branch network, Epilepsy Helpline freephone 0808 800 5050 and award winning website, www.epilepsy.org.uk
