Leeds seminar on epilepsy medication

15 January, 2008

The Leeds branch of Epilepsy Action, the UK’s leading member-led epilepsy charity, is to hold a public seminar on Thursday February 14. The event will run from 7:15pm – 9:15pm at The Oxford Place Centre, Oxford Place, Leeds.

The seminar entitled ‘Epilepsy Medication’ will include a talk from Dr Morgan Feely, consultant clinical pharmacologist at Leeds General Infirmary and is open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy. During the seminar there will also be question and answer sessions.

Annie Thompson, the regional services manager for the North West and Yorkshire, said: “The presentation from Dr Feely will provide people in the Leeds area with an opportunity to gain some very useful information about their medication and also provide them with the opportunity to meet people in a similar situation.”

Anyone who would like to attend the seminar or would like any further information should contact Jackie Kemp at Epilepsy Action on 0113 210 8787 to book their place. The cost to attend the seminar is £5 and £3 for concessions; places are limited so please book your place as soon as possible.

Epilepsy Action Leeds branch meets on the second Thursday in every month at 7pm in the Oxford Place Centre, Leeds. It is hoped that this seminar will encourage people with an interest in epilepsy to attend meetings and become involved in raising awareness of epilepsy in the area.
