Welcome to Epilepsy Action’s research webpages.
Research is essential! It helps us find out more about the causes of epilepsy, develop new treatments, understand issues that affect people with epilepsy and hopefully, one day, lead to a cure.
Greater knowledge and improved levels of understanding are critical to the achievements of Epilepsy Action. That is why one of our strategic aims is to ‘’Promote all types of research into epilepsy and undertake and fund non-laboratory social and medical research into epilepsy’’.
We support a wide range of activities from funding research studies, to offering opportunities for patients and public to get involved in the research process.
We firmly believe that the research we carry out, fund and support contributes significantly to improving the lives of people living with epilepsy.
