Expert patient programmes for people with epilepsy

Institution

Epilepsy Action and the University of Leeds

About the study

Epilepsy Action has received funding from the Josephine Nunn Trustees to develop electronic learning materials for people with epilepsy. These will be available on the charity’s website. This study aims to find out what people with epilepsy, their carers and professionals think should be included in these materials.

When will this study be recruiting?

People wanting to take part will be recruited during December 2012 and January 2013.

What will participants be asked to do?

If you take part in the study, you will be asked to commit to completing three online questionnaires over a six-month period. You can complete the questionnaires at home or another convenient place where you are comfortable. Each questionnaire will take about half an hour to complete depending on the number of comments you want to add

The questionnaires will ask you to rate the importance of including different areas of information in an epilepsy expert patient programme and to make comments explaining your ratings. All questionnaire responses will be anonymous, and no one will be identified in the final report. You will not be asked to provide your name, address or other identifiable information

More information is available in the Participant information sheet
