Epilepsy awareness training
Many people have a need for accurate information and a greater understanding of epilepsy. There are many groups and organisations who may benefit from knowing more about epilepsy, perhaps in the workplace, school or care setting where perhaps a colleague, student or client has epilepsy.
Epilepsy Action’s volunteers give presentations and talks about epilepsy to various local groups. This serves to raise awareness and understanding and enables people to deal with epilepsy in a matter of fact way.
If you know of a local group or organisation that could benefit from finding out more about epilepsy, please contact Lynne Procter, Local Services officer (0113 210 8800 or lprocter@epilepsy.org.uk) Monday, Tuesday and Thursday – 9am-3pm to discuss how Epilepsy Action can help:
Epilepsy Action's main aim is to deliver quality training to clients, at a very reasonable cost. All people attending will receive an epilepsy information pack and a certificate of attendance. A free copy of our latest epilepsy DVD will be given to the organisation free of charge. Please contact Lynne Procter (Local Services officer) on 0113 210 8800 or lprocter@epilepsy.org.uk, Tuesday to Thursday – 9am-3pm.
Please note, although Epilepsy Action has volunteers in many locations throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, there are some areas where we may not have a volunteer. In this instance we will do our best to offer alternative services to fulfill your needs.
