Epilepsy Action is aware that, very often, finding an insurance policy which covers epilepsy-related incidents and is competitively priced, can be difficult.
- Life assurance
- Car insurance
- Home buildings and contents insurance
- Personal accident insurance
- Travel insurance
We have been working with our brokers, Tyser and Co., for many years and, using their expertise, we have selected five areas of insurance which we hope will prove useful to people with epilepsy and their families.
Epilepsy Action are now authorised by the FSA (Financial Services Authority). However, although our brokers Tysers search the market place on our behalf to find appropriate policies for those with epilepsy, any contract agreed to will be between yourself and the insurer. Each case is individual and we regret we can not take responsibility for the cover of a policy or for the outcomes of claims made. The insurer and underwriter reserve the responsibility to assess and accept each individual’s particular situation.
Should you have any queries about Epilepsy Action’s insurance provision, or, if you’d like to give us feedback, please email marketing@epilepsy.org.uk or call us on 0808 800 5050. For queries relating to the insurance products themselves please use the contact details given with each product.

Epilepsy Action works with the insurance companies on our website. We help them understand the different types of epilepsy so insurance can be made more cost effectively available to more people. However, any offer of insurance, and the premium charged, remains a commercial decision based on a calculation of risk. This will include factors associated with your epilepsy. Contacting one of these insurers does not guarantee an offer of insurance. |
