Frisium temporarily out of stock

Frisium (clobazam) 10mg tablets made by Sanofi are out of stock. New stock is expected week beginning 3 July.

If you are going to run out before then, ask your pharmacist to ring Sanofi to find if there are stockists who still have supplies.

Pregabalin supply problems

Some versions of pregabalin are low in stock.

Pfizer’s version of pregabalin – called Lyrica – is low in stock. This applies to both the liquid and capsules in all doses. We have been told the stock issues with the liquid version are because of a problem with the bottle closure. Pfizer are not expecting any new stock until at least July 2017.

TEVA’s version of pregabalin is also very low in stock in all doses. TEVA do not know when they will have more in stock.

Trial finds cannabidiol may successfully reduce number of convulsive seizures in children and young adults with Dravet syndrome

A new study has found that cannabidiol could be an effective treatment for people with Dravet syndrome.

Cannabidiol comes from the cannabis plant. It does not contain the part of cannabis that gives a ‘high’ – the psychoactive part.
