Council committees

The Council has established several special committees to help it in various areas. There are currently four of these:

Corporate Governance Committee

To inform and advise Council on matters relating to the good governance of the charity and to make recommendations as to how the systems and operating practices of the Council and the charity can be improved to minimise risk, reflect current statutory and regulatory requirements and to meet standards of best practice

Finance & Strategic Policy Committee

To inform and advise the Council of Management on matters relating to financial and resource management, strategy and policy formulation and the development of the charity’s operational activities.

Standing Committee

To provide an additional opportunity for the Chief Executive and the Officers to discuss business management and development issues and to deal with any urgent business that requires the immediate attention of the charity’s trustees.
