Council of Management meeting - October 2007

2 October 2007

The Council of Management met on 2 October 2007. Members received and discussed update reports from each of Council’s committees – Corporate Governance, Education, Finance & Strategic Policy, Standing Committee and Research.

Decisions made by Council included approving and adopting some changes to the investment policy. The main impact here is to change the charity’s reserves policy. The policy used to be to accumulate unrestricted general reserves equivalent to 18 months expenditure. The new policy specifies reserves to be within a range of 9 to 18 months expenditure.

Council also decided on its calendar of meetings for 2008 and set Saturday 14 June as the date for the 2008 AGM.
