At its meeting on 8 April, the Council of Management approved the 2013 year end audited accounts for the charity together with their trustees’ report for the year. The report and accounts will soon be posted on our website for everyone to see. They will also be presented at the charity’s annual general meeting on 17 June.
Safeguarding the charity is an important function of the Council. To help it to do this it carries out a quarterly assessment of the major risks that the charity is exposed to. It makes sure that appropriate measures are in place to limit dangers or if possible to avoid them altogether.
Members were pleased to note that once again there has been a healthy interest from people wanting to stand for election to the Council. With the closing date for nominations due on 14 April, there were 10 candidates declared for the 5 vacancies on offer.
The next meeting of the Council is scheduled to take place on 13 May 2014.
