Digital Marketing Lead

Hours: 34.5hrs a week
Salary: £28,758
Based: New Anstey House, Gateway Drive, Yeadon, Leeds, LS19 7XY – (During current lockdown conditions the post holder will be expected to work mostly from home)

We are looking for a commercially savvy and creatively minded person to help us to achieve our goal of becoming a user first digital charity.

What is Epilepsy Action?

Epilepsy Action exists to improve the lives of everyone affected by epilepsy. The scope of our activity is ranging and unique. It extends from helpline services and online/physical groups for people who need our help urgently through to eLearning courses that empower people with epilepsy and their wider support networks. We also do a lot to raise awareness and organise complex fundraising events such as Bradford 10K which attracts over 3,000 runners every year. No two days are ever the same.

The Job

The Digital Marketing Lead will help us by attracting the right audiences to our activity streams at the right time. You will be in charge of coordinating our search engine marketing activity, our paid search and retargeting strategy and our email marketing plans (with a longer term focus on marketing automation).

You will work within the Digital Services department. This is a department of 7 people (plus two vacant posts) which is less than 12 months old. We have already established effective collaborations with other departmental teams and have several interesting projects planned for 2021 including a substantial overhaul of our main website.

You will report into the Websites Manager and you will work closely with the Director of Digital Services to get new ideas off the ground. You will also work closely with our colleagues in External Affairs who look after offline marketing and social media and a small number of expert suppliers to help you to be successful.

What else can we offer you?

If you are new to the charity sector, we can’t overstate the warm fuzzy feelings you’ll get when a good plan comes together. Some of the work we do is genuinely inspirational and life changing. Working in a charity gives you the opportunity to see that impact almost in real time. The regular testimonials we get are really rewarding.

We will offer you great flexible working conditions, a range of employee benefits including a contributory pension plan and a commitment to develop your skills and provide necessary training.

CVs will not be accepted. Please use the application form on this page.
