Commissioning guide

Epilepsy Action has developed a commissioning guide which includes tools such as a service specification checklist, audit checklist and case studies of good practice.

The Mental Health Dementia and Neurology Intelligence Network (MHDNIN)

The Mental Health Dementia and Neurology Intelligence Network (MHDNIN) analyses information and data and turns it into timely meaningful health intelligence. It is a source of information for commissioners, policy makers, clinicians and health professionals. This data can be used to to improve services, outcomes and reduce the negative impact of neurology problems. It includes neurology profiles for local areas including information such as prevalence of epilepsy and the number of emergency admissions for epilepsy.

NICE quality standards for epilepsy

NICE quality standards describe high-priority areas for quality improvement. The quality standards on epilepsy consist of a prioritised set of specific, concise and measurable statements. When delivered collectively they should contribute to improving the effectiveness, quality, safety and experience of care for people with the condition.

NICE commissioning guide

NICE has developed a guide to commissioning services for the diagnosis and management of the epilepsies.
