Mariana Canet

'Abstract Collection - The White'

Mariana Canet was born in 1983 in Curitiba, Brazil. She graduated in Photography in Brazil and studied Fine Arts at the University of the Arts in London.

Mariana Canet’s photographs reflect and refract reality. In her photos the real is reflected and at the same time reproduced, distorted, diverted and folded back on itself. This is how Mariana Canet can portray in each of the photos the different forms of reality, as reality becomes diversified. The artist leaves open whether what we see is, in fact, reality. The encouragement of the freedom to create and to perceive subjects, the world and even life itself with no limits is shown in Mariana Canet’s work. Her photographs reveal the infinite, the indefinite, unsolved; the vague that cannot be expressed in words.
