We fight to improve the lives
of everyone affected by epilepsy

Hi my name is Kate I'm 34 and I have been off my medication for a year now after being on it 20 years.

I am seizure free for around ten years. I have had the worst time of my life as I lost my mother in March this year to cancer, I also got married last July which was stressful!

I have gone through all that and still managed to stay off medication and be seizure free.

Coming off epilim was strange for a while, felt a bit spaced out but that didn't last long. The nausea/sickness lasted a while.

My memory is still awful and when I talk I still say the wrong words occasionally.

Hoping I can stay off the medication but it's not the end of the world if i have to go back on them. I'm blessed they were very well controlled.
