We fight to improve the lives
of everyone affected by epilepsy

Martin

Hi All. I had my first seizure aged 45 it came totally out of the blue and totally changed my life.

I had a Tonic seizure which lasted about five minutes and put me in hospital for two weeks with some horible injuries.

I had lots of tests and was told I was not epileptic so no medication was perscribed... two years later I had another thankfully not as bad but it meant being off work for a week as I was just too sore and tired to go.

Finally I got some medication (I'm on Epilim) but I have had another since then so ive increased the dose.

I don't drive anymore so my company car has gone along with the job I had. Finding another has been a struggle, it's not something employers want to deal with if you're honest and tell them the truth.
