Sam Downie, a broadcaster/Journalist with Epilepsy, talks to John Darvall on BBC Radio Bristol.

Sam Downie has Focal Onset Epilepsy, but was only diagnosed 10 years ago. He's age 38. This year Sam was told that he's had Epilepsy since birth, but never knew what it was until a Tonic Clonic seizure hit him at work, where he was taken to his local A&E where the doctors said Sam should be checked out and referred to a Consultant as soon as possible.

On BBC Radio Bristol, Sam will be telling his story, as well as talking about the facts of Epilepsy.
Sam will also be talking about the Epilepsy Awareness Day that he took part in and help to organise at Disneyland, in California, in November 2013. ( visit: http://www.epilepsyawarenessday.org for information about this years event ! )
