Southport Meols and Sunrise Rotary Clubs, supported by Merseyrail, have organised the first of what will be an annual Rotary Coast Walk. This year’s walk takes place on Sunday 31st August and we would like you to join us.
The walk offers an opportunity for you to raise money for your chosen charity, voluntary organisation or good cause as well as enjoying a walk along the Sefton Coast.
There are a number of options to choose:
• A 13 mile walk along the beach from the Coastguard Station at Blundellsands* to Victoria Park in Southport. (*5 minutes walk from Hall Road Merseyrail station)
• An 8 mile walk from Freshfield to Victoria Park, Southport
• A 5 mile walk, either:
° from Ainsdale Merseyrail Station to Victoria Park, Southport, or
° from the Coastguard Station at Blundellsands to Freshfield.
The route for the two walks starting from the Coastguard Station takes you through Altcar Training Camp; a unique opportunity.
