The affected batch numbers are:
The MHRA has told us the potential risk to anyone who has taken tablets from these batches is low, and that people can continue taking it as normal. It is possible that affected tablets could break down earlier than they are meant to in the digestive system. But even if this happens, it is not likely that this would affect the safety or effectiveness of the medicine. If you have any questions or concerns about this issue, please speak to your GP, epilepsy specialist or epilepsy nurse.
The MHRA says this recall will not affect supply of Epilim 500mg Gastro-Resistant, because other batches are available. Other strengths and formulations of Epilim are not affected.
Full details of this recall are available on the MHRA website.
