Some people with one of several illnesses or long-term conditions may be at a high risk of developing complications if they catch flu.
In the UK, if you are living with one of these you will qualify for an annual flu jab. The listed conditions include liver disease, diabetes, cerebral palsy, heart or lung disease and problems with your immune system.
People with epilepsy are not considered a high-risk group. This means that if you have epilepsy you will not automatically qualify for a free vaccination.
However, if your family doctor believes that you as an individual have a higher risk of complications, they may decide to vaccinate you.
