Epilepsy Action is currently looking to recruit a researcher / research team to conduct a systematic literature review of the evidence relating to epilepsy related deaths.
Reducing epilepsy related deaths is a key priority of our work. We have spoken to our advisors about different research opportunities, and identified a real need for a published systematic review of the evidence into epilepsy related deaths.
We believe that a systematic review will complement the tools already available to help health professionals discuss epilepsy related deaths. It will also enhance evidence-based practice, helping health professionals to more confidently counsel patients and their families about the risk of epilepsy related deaths. Importantly, the review will also highlight where gaps in the evidence exist, which we hope future research will address.
Our research brief provides more information on the aims, objectives and scope of the work. Epilepsy Action can provide a budget of between £6,000 and a maximum of £9,000 to fund this work, including staff time.
Those interested in completing this work are invited to complete an expression of interest form. This form must be completed by interested parties and returned to email@example.com before 3pm on Monday 2 June 2014.
