National Mapping Survey of Epilepsy in Pregnancy
What’s it about?
A recent report has identified epilepsy as one of the leading causes of maternal deaths in the UK (MBRRACE-UK https://tinyurl.com/MBRRACEUKreport). The Dame Hilda Lloyd Network is mapping the care of pregnant women with epilepsy across the UK. Results from this survey will help inform policymakers, training and future research on epilepsy in pregnancy.
Am I eligible to take part?
This survey is open to all healthcare professionals who work with pregnant women with epilepsy including neurologists, obstetricians, epilepsy specialist nurses, general nurses and midwives.
What will I have to do?
You will be asked to complete a 23-question online survey about the services offered at your place of work. This should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
How do I get involved?
The survey can be found at: https://bham.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/national-epilepsy-mapping-survey-in-pregnancy For further information about this project and how you can get involved, please contact the Dame Hilda Lloyd network at email@example.com
Is there a deadline?

Who is conducting the research?
This mapping survey is being conducted by the Dame Hilda Lloyd network, a Women's Health research network based in the West Midlands. The team is comprised of consultants and trainees in obstetrics and gynaecology, and medical students. This survey is led by Professor Shakila Thangaratinam.
