Novartis have told us that Tegretol 100mg tablets are now in stock and are being distributed to wholesalers. They should be available for pharmacies to order shortly.
Novartis also confirmed that Tegretol 200mg and 400mg remain available, but that demand had increased due to the shortage of 100mg tablets.
They encouraged pharmacies that are unable to get supply to contact Novartis Customer Services directly:

Novartis have told us that Tegretol 100mg tablets are still out of stock.
They have told us that they are now expected back in stock at the end of October 2023.
Update on 06 October 2023
Due to reports of problems also getting Tegretol 400mg prolonged release tablets, we asked Novartis for an update.
Novartis told us that Tegretol 400mg prolonged release tablets are still at normal UK stock levels. However, they said that demand may be higher due to less Tegretol 400mg prolonged release tablets being imported from outside of the UK (parallel imports) over recent months.
They confirmed that Tegretol 100mg tablets are still out of stock.
Novartis have encouraged people struggling to get stock of Tegretol 400mg prolonged release tablets to ask their pharmacy to contact their wholesaler for stock. If this doesn’t work, pharmacies can contact Novartis directly:

Novartis, the manufacturers of Tegretol, have told us that Tegretol 100mg tablets are out of stock until mid-October 2023.
Tegretol 200mg tablets and Tegretol 100mg/5ml liquid remain available and will be able to support increased demand.
