What is the purpose of the role?
To help raise the profile of Epilepsy Action NI within local communities, and give information about its work and the services it provides.
You will identify appropriate local opportunities to engage with organisations or groups and provide them with information about Epilepsy Action NI, the services it offers and the benefits it brings. You will be an ambassador for the charity.
What skills and experience do I need?
You must be confident in engaging with people. You should be able to convey information clearly and with enthusiasm. It would be helpful if you have been involved in promoting / marketing an organisation, service or event(s.
What support and training will I receive?
You will be trained. Once in the role you will have regular contact with, and receive support from the Northern Ireland Manager.
What can I expect from the role?
The opportunity to engage with others, helping to ensure that those who would benefit from our services know how to access them and are encouraged to do so.
What will I receive in return?
Training and support in the role. An opportunity to learn new skills, and develop existing ones. Enjoyment and a sense of pride in helping in a great cause, that of improving the lives of people living with epilepsy in Northern Ireland.
This depends on the time you can afford to give and the contacts you make. An average of 2 hours a week would be a reasonable target.
