Local Services volunteer coordinator

What is the purpose of the role?

To help support a network of local volunteers

Volunteer for this role today

What’s involved?

  • Assist the LSM as directed
  • Liaise and engage with local volunteers on a regular basis to motivate and support them
  • Help brief volunteers on their role
  • Help keep volunteers informed
  • Keep records as appropriate
  • Attend local services events

What skills and experience do I need?

  • Good co-ordinating skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and motivated
  • A friendly, supportive and positive attitude
  • An ability to use own initiative
  • An organised approach
  • Some computer experience
  • Positive attitude to people with long term health needs
  • Good knowledge of the local community
  • Experience as a mentor
  • Experience of record keeping
  • Some experience of money management
  • Knowledge and/or personal experience of epilepsy
  • Ability to speak Welsh if volunteering in Wales

What support and training will I receive?

Support from Local Services Manager

Induction and epilepsy awareness training
