Epilepsy Action Branch Member Of The Year and Highly Commended Branch Awards in Warwick

Christine Gore, stalwart of the Warwick District Branch of Epilepsy Action, has won a national award in recognition of her work for the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity. The Warwick District Branch has also won a “Highly Commended” award.

The Epilepsy Action Branch Awards will be presented by Julie Clark, Epilepsy Action’s manager for central England. The presentation will take place on Monday 11 June at the branch meeting. Timings are 7.30pm to 9.30pm, at Odd Fellows Hall, 6 Clarence Terrace, Warwick Street, Leamington Spa.

Relaxation and support for people with epilepsy in Bury St Edmunds

Epilepsy Action West Suffolk Branch, part of the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy organisation, is hosting a relaxation event to celebrate its launch.

It will take place on Saturday 2 June from 10.30am to 4.00pm at Quaker Meeting House, St John’s Street, Bury St Edmunds. Admission is free and refreshments are available.

The event is open to anyone with an interest in epilepsy. There will be complementary therapy taster sessions to aid relaxation and stress relief. There will also be talks by health professionals about epilepsy.

Epilepsy Action Branch Member Of The Year Award in Wigan

Kevin Whittle, stalwart of the Wigan Branch of Epilepsy Action, has won a national award in recognition of his work for the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.

The Epilepsy Action Branch Member of the Year Award will be presented to Kevin by Dr Helen Caswell, an Epilepsy Action trustee. The presentation will take place on Friday 1 June from 7.45pm to 10.00pm, at Tippings Arms, 115 Poolstock Lane, Wigan, Lancashire.
