Linda Brooks from Kidlington, Oxford, will be taking part in the Flora London Marathon on 22 April 2007 to raise funds for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member led epilepsy organisation.
This is the first year that Linda has taken part in the Flora London Marathon challenge and she will be tackling the gruelling 26.2 miles for a charity that is close to her heart.

Many people with epilepsy face daily discrimination in the workplace at the hands of employers and colleagues.
Epilepsy is covered by the Disability Discrimination Act. However a lot of employers and employees know very little about the condition and statistics show that only 50 per cent of disabled people are in work.
Epilepsy Action looks set to establish a Bristol branch following a meeting to gauge levels of support.
Helen King, Epilepsy Action’s regional services manager in the south west said: “With a population of 400,000 there are at least 3,000 people with epilepsy in the city who could benefit from a local branch. Such a group will further allow us to improve public awareness of epilepsy and reduce the prejudice and ignorance that surrounds the condition.”
