Statement on the Lamb Enquiry: Special Educational Needs and Parental Confidence, 16 December 2009

Simon Wigglesworth, deputy chief executive of Epilepsy Action, says: "We welcome parts of this report. However, we are deeply disappointed that epilepsy is still not recognised as a condition that might cause special educational needs (SEN). There are 58,000 under-18s with epilepsy in the UK and half are estimated to be under-achieving academically.
