Friends take a leap for epilepsy charity

17 March, 2009

Two best friends from Pinehurst will be taking part in a tandem parachute jump to raise vital funds for Epilepsy Action, the UK’s largest member-led epilepsy charity.

Claire Newbold and Laura Davies will attempt the once in a life time experience on Saturday 28 March. They’ll be jumping from a height of 10,000 feet and will free-fall at over 120mph, all to support people living with this often over-looked condition.

The doodling's on you!

27 February, 2009

Hundreds of celebrities are taking part in a national ‘doodling’ event to raise money for two UK neurological charities. Doodles by the likes of Sophie Dahl, Jonathan Ross and Heston Blumenthal are to be auctioned on eBay in aid of National Doodle Day from today, 27 February 2009.

A host of famous names from the worlds of fashion, entertainment, sport and literature will be putting pen to paper for the popular annual event, which raises vital funds for national charities, Epilepsy Action and The Neurofibromatosis Association.
