2 December, 2008

An 11-year-old girl from Stroud, Gloucestershire, has been chosen as a winner in this year's National Doodle Day competition.

Olivia Johnson was one of hundreds to take part in National Doodle Day earlier this year - a fun event held in aid of two charities, Epilepsy Action and the Neurofibromatosis Association. Members of the public were invited to submit doodles into the national competition.

New Epilepsy Campaign Promotes Healthy Mums And Babies

8 September, 2008

Every year, around four women with epilepsy die during pregnancy or giving birth, meaning they face a seven times greater risk than women without epilepsy, warns national charity Epilepsy Action.

It is this gap which has prompted the charity to launch its Mothers in mind: healthy births campaign during National Pregnancy Health Month (September). The campaign will work towards giving more mums with epilepsy and their babies a happy and healthy future.
