Epilepsy Action, the UK's largest member-led epilepsy charity, is urging runners to join its team and step up to the challenge of this year's BUPA Great South Run.
The event will take place on Sunday October 26, but with an entry closing date of August 31, runners need to hurry to secure a place. The popular run is a 10-mile road race in Southsea, Portsmouth.

The event will take place on Sunday October 5 and there are still a few places left. The run is one of the world's most popular half marathons, going from the centre of Newcastle to South Shields on the UK's North East Coast.
Dean Street nightclub, Maya (‘Voted Best New Club’ at the London Bar and Club Awards 2008), hosted a Sixth Form Leavers Ball and helped to raise around £1500 for the UK’s leading member-led epilepsy charity, Epilepsy Action.
The event, held on July 4, was in honour of a past pupil who sadly passed away following a seizure. The students had chosen to fundraise for Epilepsy Action because they wanted to raise awareness of epilepsy.
