Race The Train 2008

The UK’s leading member led epilepsy charity Epilepsy Action still has guaranteed places available in this year’s Race the Train, held in Tywyn, Wales, on Saturday, August 16 2008.

Race the Train is a unique event organised by Tywyn Rotary Club. Competitors have to run a 14 and three-quarter mile race, alongside a train leaving Tywyn station at the same time as the runners. The aim of the multi-terrain race is to beat the famous Talyllyn Railway train on its journey through the Welsh countryside.

Epilepsy Action Launches New Website

Epilepsy Action has re-launched its award-winning website – www.epilepsy.org.uk - to make it easier to use and more accessible to people with disabilities.

The dynamic new Web 2.0 site offers users the opportunity to personalise their homepage to enable them to receive email alerts on topics of specific interest. They will also be able to set up their own blogs, and access practical tools either online or by downloading.

Epilepsy Action - The Big Debate Takes Place In London

Some of the biggest names in epilepsy treatment are joining people living with the condition from across the UK, to join in a controversial debate. 'You need to live with epilepsy to know what it's like' will generate heated argument on both sides. This takes place in London on Saturday June 14.
